Matt earned a BA from the University of Massachusetts in 1994. While at school, he joined and eventually became president of the local Delta Chi fraternity chapter, where he learned more about dealing with people than he could ever learn in a classroom. During school and immediately after, Matt took several different jobs: greenskeeping, insurance agent, and even driving a town car before an incident with another car resulted in him being “let go.”

In 1995, Matt began working in the financial planning profession, becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional in 2003. Just a couple of years after beginning his career, Matt met his wife, Naomi, and they have now been married for more than 25 years. Because Naomi hails from the West Coast of Michigan, specifically the beautiful town of Ludington, Matt has had the pleasure of spending a week or two in Michigan every summer, renting a house with her family in various vacation spots, including Saugatuck and Traverse City.

Matt has been blessed with two daughters, Julia and Jade. They were both competitive swimmers, and because Matt got sick of sitting on the hard bleachers for 10-hour swim meets, several years ago he became a U.S. Swimming official and spent those hours standing by the pool.  Julia is a recent graduate from Mount Holyoke College, while her sister Jade attends Brandeis University.

The whole family lives in East Falmouth, and Matt has become active in the communities of Falmouth and Mashpee over the years. When the kids were younger, Matt served on the board of the Cape Cod Children’s Museum during a very transformative era in that organization’s history. Although he has been involved in numerous charitable causes around the Upper Cape, lately most of his volunteer time has involved the First Congregational Church of Falmouth, where Matt has served in many capacities and The Cape Cod Council of Churches which runs various charities throughout Cape Cod, including soup kitchens, food pantries and A Baby Center that provides diapers, formula and other essentials to low income families.

Over the years, Matt has been honored to receive several accolades in his profession, including being interviewed for various publications. Now that his children have grown, Matt has time for the hobbies he's put off for the last 20 something years, eventually he'll figure out what those are going to be.  With that said, Matt and Naomi have had the opportunity to travel quite a bit both with and without the children. Lately they've been spending a month of the Winter in Puerto Rico, where Matt works remotely and Naomi collects so much sea glass they have to ship it home.

Matt truly believes that he helps his clients Turn Money into Wealth, and he’s happy to explain what that means.
